About The Position

The Human Resource Coordinator will facilitate the processes that support various functional areas within Human Resources. This role will provide administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry. This is a part-time temporary position, approximately from April 13, 2026 - July 10, 2026. This role is required to be in the office three days a week and may vary week to week with additional days in the office to support events, meetings, and projects as needed. It will include a minimum of 24 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft office suite required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
  • Must be able to sit, walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, stoop or kneel, climb, or balance, talk, or hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects tools or control.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds on occasion.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR or SHRM-CP credential preferred.
  • Knowledge of Paycom and Deltek preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Submits online investigation requests and assists with new employee background checks.
  • Reconciles monthly benefits statements.
  • Conducts audits of benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
  • Assists with processing of terminations.
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process.
  • Tracks the status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the director of HR.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
  • Prepares new employee files.
  • Processes mail.
  • Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
  • Runs reports as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
