About The Position

Process weekly payroll Initiate requests for background checks, drug screenings and physicals for New Hires Conducts Benefits Orientations, onboarding, and processes New Hire paperwork Stays current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policies, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices Works daily with confidential material (medical reports, ADA, STD, garnishments, HR files, etc.) and maintains confidentiality Records and processes employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, attendance, performance reviews, terminations, vacation and personal time, etc. Compiles and maintains records for use in benefits administration Compiles data from personnel records and prepares reports, including headcount metrics and costs reporting Files all documents/paperwork in employee’s files Processes 401k weekly loans Processes 401k weekly withholdings Complete Unemployment Filings Initiate Workers’ Compensation filing and claims coordination Supervision of Housekeeping employees (2), maintain weekly task log for auditor review Assists with required HR audits (workers compensation, health and welfare, 401k) Assist with Operations recruiting as needed THIS DESCRIPTION IS A GENERAL STATEMENT OF REQUIRED MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES PERFORMED ON A REQUIRED AND CONTINUOUS BASIS. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources field from an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience)
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience
  • MS Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of general HR policies and procedures
  • Detail Oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Manufacturing a plus
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in managing 401K Withholdings and Loans a plus
