The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for partnering with business leaders and employees on the strategic support of Human Resource services for the organization. This HRBP will assist in resolving complex Employee Relations issues, provide onsite day to day support on generalist HR needs, guide managers through navigating best practices and processes, and translate priorities into actions. This role will be a leader on the HR team offering strategic solutions to process improvements and best practices, as well as roll up their sleeves to assist with day-to-day tactical needs in a positive, collaborative, and proactive manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in Human Resource business partner, generalist, manager, or similar level role.
  • Experience with healthcare staff regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CA employment laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Recent HRIS ADP experience preferred.
  • Recent healthcare setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with company initiatives in the strategic direction or coaching provided to managers and employees.
  • Act as an onsite resource for staff and management to ensure their understanding and compliance with HR policies and regulations. Work closely with Sr. Director of Human Resources on potential problem areas.
  • In the absence of the Sr. Director of Human Resources, provide advice and guidance to senior managers on handling of sensitive personnel matters by collaborating in person with cross-functional onsite teams.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Possibility of management of other HR staff members including documentation/license specialist, WC/LOA specialist, and/or onboarding coordinator.
  • Back up and lead onsite in-person new hire orientation presentations on HR department, ensuring best in class employee experiences.
  • Back up and assist with onboarding escalation issues surrounding healthcare hires (medical exams, drug tests, vaccinations, and other regulatory requirements).
  • Conduct regularly scheduled audits of HR systems to ensure survey readiness and compliance with organization policies – including required Healthcare Regulatory Audits.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management.
  • Other administrative and tactical duties as assigned and needed to support our healthcare staff.
