This role will partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement. In addition, they will own programs that run across the broader HR team. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work. You will help business leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and the overall employee experience.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of labor and employment laws (e.g., NLRA, FMLA, Title VII, FCRA, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, HIPAA) and other HR concepts.
  • Proficient in MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to listen with both empathy and examination.
  • Ability to speak and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing as well as presenting.

  • Solid knowledge in the employment law and regulations with hands-on practice in these areas.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work with business leaders to understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and the overall employee experience.
  • Communicate HR and Company policy/processes, including compensation and benefits, ensuring management and staff are informed and in compliance.
  • Execute strategic initiatives, including but not limited to, Talent Review, Merit Review, Strategic Workforce Planning, Performance Management, etc.
  • Support organizational design across assigned groups to effectively structure teams, identify support, skill gaps, and partner with leaders on workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with leaders on recruiting needs, job design, and hiring decisions, in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Collaborate with leaders on training and talent development initiatives, in partnership with the Learning and Development team.
  • Lead employee engagement and diversity momentum to minimize attrition by analyzing exit interview data and employee survey results, developing actionable plans with the business, and tracking success of initiatives.
  • Successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
  • Support the management of HR project to achieve milestones and timeline.
  • Manage and transact HR business processes in Workday, including transfers, organizational changes, pay changes, data and reporting, system changes, new hires, terminations, etc. Ensures HRIS data integrity.
  • Proactively manage and resolve employee relations issues and conduct investigations, as needed.
  • Performs exit interviews for terminated employees. May respond to unemployment claims or represent company at unemployment compensation hearings.
  • Delivers onboarding and orientation programs, as needed, to set new hires up for success.
  • Acts as back up to ensures completion of all pre-employment, post-offer testing, reports and new hire paperwork.
  • Answer employee questions regarding leaves of absence, benefits, and payroll questions, in partnership with the Payroll and Benefits team.
  • Consult with finance support to proactively workforce plan for all levels within the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
