About The Position

At Vallourec, we are seeking individuals whose passion and dedication match the strength and resilience of the steel we produce. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to plant and operations leadership within a large steel pipe manufacturing environment. This role aligns HR initiatives with business objectives to drive workforce performance, employee engagement, safety culture and compliance. Partner closely with plant and functional leaders to support operational objectives, productivity targets, and cost-control initiatives. Translate business strategy into actionable HR initiatives that strengthen workforce effectiveness, leadership capability, and organizational readiness. Drive succession planning and talent readiness for critical operational and leadership roles. Utilize workforce data, HR metrics, and insights to identify trends, assess risk, and recommend improvement opportunities. Partner with Talent Acquisition to develop and execute recruitment strategies for skilled trades, engineering, operations, and leadership roles. Support onboarding, engagement, retention strategies, and career development to enhance employee experience and reduce turnover. Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective action, discipline, and conflict resolution. Ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant application of company policies, procedures, and labor agreements. Maintain accurate and timely HR documentation and employee records in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements. Reinforce a strong safety culture by partnering with EHS and operations leadership to promote accountability and compliance. Support diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectful workplace initiatives that foster an inclusive and high-performing culture. Assist with benefits communication and respond to employee inquiries as needed. Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations, including OSHA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEOC requirements. Partner with internal stakeholders to proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business, or comparable field
  • 5-7 years exempt level HR experience in an industrial / manufacturing setting preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, employee relations and HR best practices
  • Experience partnering with operations leadership in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification desired (PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)
  • Experience in steel, metals, heavy manufacturing or industrial production
