About The Position

The Part-Time Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources department with a focus on data entry, records management, and employee support. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate and confidential employee information using the college’s ERP system (Jenzabar EX) and customer service. This position must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to interact professionally with faculty, staff, and visitors while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and a strong commitment to radical hospitality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Customer service & handling phone calls experience
  • Ability to think logically, make decisions and solve problems
  • Strong organizational, analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Data entry skills, spreadsheet, and word processing proficiency
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a typical office environment
  • Experience working as an Administrative Assistant

  • Associate degree or coursework in HR, business, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Effective use of the ERP Jenzabar EX system for data entry
  • Extensive filling
  • Answering phones and assisting employees
  • Second point of contact for visitors in the office
  • Assist with regular HR reports, such as employee headcount, leave tracking, and compliance metrics
  • Respond to general HR inquiries from staff and faculty in a timely and professional manner
  • Support the gathering and analysis of HR data for institutional reports, audits, and accreditation reviews
  • Assist with the employment process
  • Participate in the development or revision of HR forms and templates
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding process for new and departing employees
  • Maintain digital and paper records of employee data, including personnel files and digital updates
  • Organization and maintenance of employee files
  • Prepare employment verifications, letters, and standard HR correspondence
  • Assist with employee training programs and tracking employee evaluations
  • Assist the follow up on mandatory training completion
  • Perform data entry, filing, scanning, and other clerical tasks as needed
  • Greet employees and other office visitors
  • Other duties, as assigned.
