About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Human Resources Assistant to join our team! The DHHS Service Center prides itself in having a positive work environment, full of motivated and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy assisting Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) employees. This position will be a part of a 7-person team to work through complex payroll rules, interpret and explain contract provisions, and perform other human resources functions as needed. If you have superior customer service and organization skills, a willingness to learn, and meet the minimum requirements listed below, then we are looking for you! The DHHS Human Resources Service Center is currently recruiting a talented human resources professional to join our staff in providing human resources services and support for DHHS managers, supervisors and staff on a state-wide basis. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity in a fast-paced environment that will allow you to develop your skills in the areas of labor relations, compensation administration, and management support.

Requirements

  • Education, training, and/or experience which provides a basic knowledge and understanding of human resources functions.
  • Knowledge of basic human resources administration policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Knowledge of payroll practices.
  • Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Workday software program.
