About The Position

General Purpose: Provide effective support for daily Human Resources Department functions by carrying out a range of administrative duties. Welcome visitors and inform the designated GLOCK contract person, and triage employee requests as they are received by HR. Shift Available: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Serve as first point of contact for all HR visitors. Prepare all necessary documentation, including the HR checklist, to support personnel transactions such as onboarding, terminations, promotions, demotions, and transfers. Retrieve and prepare personnel files for full-time employee terminations. Update and maintain full-time employee personnel files, including personal data changes. Maintain HR file room, ensuring accurate maintenance of files for active and terminated employees, temporary workers, medical, 401(k), training, etc. Support onboarding for new hires, including full-time employees, temporary workers, and temp-to-hire personnel, by establishing personnel files, processing new hire paperwork, completing the new hire checklist, and entering or updating employee profiles in designated HR systems. Maintain reportable spreadsheets for full-time employee hires. Ensure that all HR forms and booklets in the HR Triage area are adequately stocked and kept up to date. Support hiring needs by scheduling and participating in interviews and preparing interview documents, as needed. Work with the Recruiting team to ensure proper maintenance of the interview and applicant tracking log. Act as support or backup for new hire orientations. Order and distribute employee shirts. Monitor the stock levels in the HR supply room and arrange orders for departmental supplies whenever necessary. Participate in administrative staff meetings. Work Environment: The work environment primarily requires the employee to work inside in a climate controlled administrative office setting and dress business casual in accordance with the GLOCK Employment Policy Handbook. Employee will work regularly scheduled shifts within the department’s hours of operation and may be asked to work overtime and weekends, when needed for special assignments or programs. Position Type: This is a temp to hire position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but may require some work outside of these hours.
