Job Description: Human Resources Advisor Purpose: Under general direction, provides management and employee groups journey-level professional human resources (HR) support on a broad range of HR issues and decisions. Responsible for the implementation of services and programs in one or more areas of HR. Austin Resource Recovery is looking for a dynamic Human Resources Advisor to join our team and help shape the employee experience. This position will work within the Human Resources division of Austin Resource Recovery to perform a wide variety of HR functions. Primary responsibilities include serving as the department’s FMLA Coordinator and Workers’ Compensation Representative. Partnering with external agencies and City of Austin departments to ensure compliance with Leave Management Programs, including ADA, Paid Parental Leave, Return to Work, and Shared Leave benefits. Managing Workday and UKG processes related to leave requests and payroll functions. Leading special projects and driving process improvement strategies that make a real difference. A successful candidate will be a collaborative and confident professional who models integrity, professionalism, and high energy. They thrive in fast-paced environments, effectively prioritizing and managing competing demands with a strong sense of urgency.
