About The Position

Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world! Responsibilities: Administer the employee lifecycle, including new hire setup, system entry, orientation, exit interviews, and managing exit paperwork. Coordinate hiring and onboarding activities for the site, including scheduling interviews, coordinating pre-employment screenings, and managing onboarding documentation and conducting new hire orientation. Maintain and update HR systems, including new hires, job changes, pay updates, and terminations. Create, update, and maintain personnel files in compliance with federal, state, and company requirements. Process payroll in ADP for hourly, non-exempt and exempt employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with California wage and hour requirements. Provide first-level support to employees regarding benefits, leaves of absence, and general policy questions; escalate complex issues as needed. Support employee engagement and recognition activities, including service awards and site events. Assist with HR reporting, audits, and month-end metrics, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness. Serve as a visible and approachable HR presence supporting employees and supervisors with day-to-day HR needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of HR Admin support related to benefits, leaves of absence, and HR policy administration.
  • 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience with experience in hourly, non-exempt in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of California payroll laws and wage & hour requirements, including overtime, meal and rest periods, and timekeeping compliance.
  • Experience supporting hiring coordination and onboarding in a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems such as Workday and ADP.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the facility during the workday.
  • Full-time, on-site role based in a manufacturing facility.
  • Standard business hours with flexibility to support payroll deadlines, onboarding schedules, and operational needs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Bilingual capabilities aligned with site needs (e.g., English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments (medical device, life sciences, or similar) preferred.
