The Division of Administrative Services is hiring a HR Specialist Senior that administers the state payroll and provides professional support within the Department of Military Affairs; performs other payroll functions for the Department. Job duties include but are not limited to the following: Interprets regulations and policies that apply to state payroll and executes the varied functions required to administer the state payroll. Implements department guidelines for proper reporting procedures on time and attendance and advises divisions and employees. Researches employee pay inquiries. Audits agency timesheets. Performs time entry semi monthly. Runs time evaluation for all divisions during payroll to ensure accuracy for hours paid. Serves as department expert on employee participation and eligibility of the Family Medical Leave, Sick Leave Sharing and Annual Leave Sharing programs. Sends notification packets. Codes and tracks FMLA hours. Processes and tracks sick leave donations in KHRIS. Researches employee and supervisor inquiries. Distributes semi monthly leave reports to all divisions. Updates agency variant lists. Sets up electronic timesheets for new hires and updates existing files. Completes employment verifications. Assists section supervisor and coworkers as needed. Provides support to the personnel administrator and branch manager as needed.
