About The Position

The Human Resource Generalist supports the daily operations of the HR department, including administering compensation, benefits, and leave; maintaining compliance; supporting HR technology and workflow improvements; and ensuring consistent application of company policies and practices. This role requires strong analytical skills, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to create and refine efficient business processes

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of general HR principles and practices.
  • Experience with Power Automate, ERP systems, or similar workflow/process tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least 1-3 years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Aptitude for technology

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Supports HRIS and ERP-related enhancements to improve data quality, usability, and reporting
  • Utilizes Power Automate or similar workflow tools to build and refine automated processes within HR operations.
  • Demonstrates a strong interest and aptitude in HR technology and process optimization.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Assist with the payroll cycle utilizing ADP.
  • Conduct research on immigration laws and policies to determine the best pathways for immigration needs.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Processes and verifies new hire documentation and ensures accurate employee setup in ADP.
  • Performs routine audits of employee files, work authorization documentation, and I-9 records to ensure full compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Identifies opportunities to automate and streamline HR workflows, improving efficiency and data integrity.
  • Handles challenging or sensitive situations with professionalism, sound judgment, and a solutions-focused approach.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
