About The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations with approximately 200 employees across 14 U.S. locations and growing. This role is primarily responsible for employee onboarding, coordinating recruitment activities, and providing entry-level benefits administration support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
  • 1–3 years of HR, recruiting coordination, or administrative experience
  • Experience supporting multi-location or hourly workforce environments preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through, attention to detail and handling confidential information with discretion
  • Customer-service mindset with employees and candidates
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively
  • Adaptable and solutions-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills across diverse teams and locations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, retail or skilled trades environments is a plus
  • Familiarity with HRIS and ATS platforms
  • HR certification (PHR, aPHR, SHRM-CP) or interest in pursuing certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the full onboarding process for new hires across multiple states and locations
  • Prepare and distribute offer letters, onboarding packets, and new hire documentation
  • Ensure completion of I-9s, E-Verify (if applicable), background checks, and new hire paperwork in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Enter, update, and maintain employee records in the HRIS
  • Partner with managers to ensure smooth first-day and first-week onboarding experiences
  • Support employee status changes, transfers, promotions, and terminations as needed
  • Post job openings to internal and external job boards
  • Coordinate interview scheduling with hiring managers and candidates across multiple time zones
  • Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Track applicants and hiring activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Assist with benefits enrollment for new hires, life events, and annual open enrollment
  • Support benefits audits and data accuracy between vendors and the HRIS
  • Coordinate benefit eligibility tracking and documentation
  • Escalate benefits issues to benefits vendors or broker as appropriate
  • Maintain employee personnel files in accordance with record retention requirements
  • Assist with HR audits, compliance reporting, and policy administration
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department
