Additionally, the city pays all premiums for our employees' dental, long-term disability protection, and life insurance plus the majority portion of the medical premium for employees and their dependents. As a trusted advisor, the Human Resource Business Partner is the first point of contact for employees in their Business Units, working closely with the Department Director and senior management and serving the employees within the business unit. This role is critical since it provides HR support to departments in the City and provides specialist knowledge of the Human Resource functions. The essential functions are employee inquiries, data analytics, employee engagement, policy management, employee relations, talent acquisition, and organizational development. Build and maintain effective working relationships with leadership and employees to provide advice coach and counsel on employee-related and organizational obstacles. Develop and leverage metrics to influence leaders on organizational effectiveness to enhance City of Pearland employee's experience. Coordinate and conduct training and development initiatives, including conducting research, developing draft plans on various topics. Collaborate cross-functionally to boost communication throughout the City by using synergistic initiatives. Manage city-wide projects with internal SMEs.
