This role will serve as a partner to Retail Leadership, ensuring alignment between HR strategies and business objectives, while providing expert guidance on talent management, partner engagement, and organizational effectiveness. This role is critical to fostering a positive employee experience and driving performance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a retail or field-based environment. Combination of experience and education may be considered.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed teams.
  • Familiarity with retail industry dynamics and challenges.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and guide leaders.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Market Directors and District Managers to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Advise senior store leadership on issues that pose escalated risk to the business by providing expert level HR guidance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for partner issues, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Support talent management and performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, and feedback.
  • Collaborate on talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top retail talent.
  • Educate field leaders and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and proactive intervention.
  • Support change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication across retail teams.
  • Partner with leaders to manage the people side of organizational changes, fostering engagement and alignment.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Payroll and Legal, to address operational needs.
  • Proactively identify and participate in special projects focused on increased partner engagement, leadership development, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead and mentor a team, ensuring effective support for field leadership and store partners.
