ECRI is seeking an experienced Human Factors Engineer (the “Engineer”) to work as part of a dynamic, diverse, collaborative group focused upon applying human factors engineering to improve healthcare safety. Human Factors Engineering (HFE) is a cornerstone of ECRI’s future strategic goals and is currently being integrated into a number of new and existing product and service lines. The Engineer will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development and continuous improvement of impactful ECRI HFE educational and consulting offerings, helping to expand a new market; deliver operational excellence for our clients; provide HFE-specific education, workshops, and training; and drive a reduction in preventable harm by working on patient safety initiatives. Success in this role will be measured through contributions to projects focused on patient safety, customer satisfaction, and driving revenue to achieve the ECRI mission. A successful candidate will embody excellent judgment, identify risks or issues early and will be highly collaborative, able to work as part of a diverse team of internal and external partners. The Engineer must be results driven and have a proven track record of executing and producing high quality deliverables, and will be expected to maintain an active working knowledge of worldwide human factors literature and standards. Most importantly, the Engineer must have a growth-mindset that brings people together and delivers excellence to ECRI’s clients. Demonstrated team-work and collaborative problem-solving experience are required. Technical knowledge around ECRI offerings is preferred.
