About The Position

System High Corporation delivers the most advanced protection and secrecy solutions to secure and strengthen critical missions, programs, operations, and intelligence activities. We are seeking a Benefits Lead to join our growing Human Capital Department. The Benefits Lead is responsible for the strategic administration and compliance of all employee benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability plans, medical leave programs, and the 401(k) plan. This role ensures accurate data management, regulatory compliance, and a positive employee experience through effective communication and process improvement.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of employee benefits programs and applicable laws.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reconciliations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex information clearly.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3–5 years of HR experience with a focus on benefits administration

Responsibilities

  • Benefits Administration Maintain accurate benefits enrollments in HRIS and ensure timely updates to vendors. Perform regular audits of enrollments and payroll deductions; process adjustments as needed. Reconcile and approve monthly benefit invoices.
  • Employee Support Serve as the primary point of contact for benefit inquiries, claims issues, life events, and plan changes. Coordinate employee education campaigns for benefits and wellness programs. Assist with new-hire orientations and manage COBRA enrollments.
  • Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, ERISA, and state regulations. Manage medical leave and accommodations in accordance with legal requirements. Complete annual reporting requirements, including 5500 filings and non-discrimination testing.
  • Vendor & Program Management Lead regular meetings with benefits broker, financial advisor, and other vendors. Manage the 401(k) plan, including contribution changes, loans, withdrawals, and QDROs. Oversee Open Enrollment and related communications.
  • Continuous Improvement Analyze benefit offerings and recommend enhancements to support employee well-being and organizational goals. Keep internal and external benefit-related documents, guides, and policies current.
