Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 3-5 years of prior relevant experience
- Data mining & manipulation experience with Excel, VBA, SQL, other methods.
- US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
Responsibilities
- Subject matter expert on manufacturing processes including: equipment, floor layouts, work sequence, work instructions, procedures, and work flow
- Develop and improve standard work
- Identify process improvements opportunities using analysis, modeling, benchmarking, research, etc.
- Design layouts of equipment and workspace and improving process flow
- Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory, and production record systems
- Provide measurable input into the sequence of operations and work instructions
- Contribute to plans for allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization
- Study product requirements and determine capital equipment and labor staffing to meet requirements.
- Ability to work effectively with other engineers, technicians, operators, and management
- Conduct machine capacity analysis and identify/manage improvement initiatives to increase efficiency (OEE).
- Understanding of capital acquisition process – knowledge or background preferred
- Working knowledge of product manufacturing / process technologies
- Participating in and leading Kaizen events
