This position reports to: Business Health, Safety & Env Manager __ The work model for the role is: Onsite, Richmond, VA Your role and responsibilities: In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain. ABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings. Requirements

Bachelor degree PLUS minimum 2 years HSE related experience
Skills in database management systems and MS Office
Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

Nice To Haves

Certification and training in Safety, preferred
Knowledge of local HSE regulations, preferred

Responsibilities

Reporting HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions.
Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks.
Providing feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB.
Supporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.
