Job Summary: The position OMS / AMS / SEMS supports the Gulf of America organization by maintaining and improving SEMS compliance across shore base and offshore operations. This role facilitates updates to GOA SEMS (AMS) PSPGs, supports SEMS and BSEE audit activities, and conducts internal SEMS assessments. Verify and validate for field personnel as needed for knowledge and skills associated with completion of task in accordance with AMS – verify updates to PSPGs are communicated and understood by affected persons. Additional responsibilities include supporting contractor CSM assessments, promoting LiveSAFE culture. The position also contributes to continuous improvement activities that strengthen SEMS performance across the Gulf of America.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health & Safety, Science, or Engineering required.
  • 10+ years of relevant Health & Safety and Management System experience working in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Good knowledge of GOA regulatory requirements, including experience working with GOA regulatory agencies.
  • Experience with HSE programs and tracking HSE performance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and Power BI.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interface with multiple teams across different disciplines.
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to facilitate review and update of GOA OMS / AMS / SEMS / PSPGs in accordance with AMS requirements.
  • Facilitate SEMS Audits by accompanying Audit Service Providers or BSEE representatives during audit activities.
  • Conduct Oxy internal SEMS assessments of shore base and offshore facilities.
  • Verify and validate for field personnel as needed for knowledge and skills associated with completion of task in accordance with OMS / AMS / SEMS– verify updates to PSPGs are communicated and understood by affected persons.
  • Support Contractor Safety Management Assessments.
  • Support and promote LiveSAFE culture within shore base and offshore facilities.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned to help with continuous improvement of GOA OMS / AMS / SEMS.
