About The Position

Manage and maintain documentation and records related to HSE functions. Perform regular safety inspections in the manufacturing area to ensure compliance with safety standards. Update and maintain contractor portals with required OSHA reports and other relevant documentation. Assist in the development, implementation and auditing of HSE policies and procedures. Conduct training sessions and workshops on HSE topics for employees and contractors. Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics. Investigate and report on incidents and near-misses and recommend corrective actions. Assist in the development of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS). Collaborate with the QHSE Manager to ensure continuous improvement in HSE practices. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to health, safety, and environmental standards. Assist with quality administration and records when required. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices.
  • Thorough understanding of the product and/or process being inspected.
  • Maintains a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to function effectively both independently, under supervision, and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exhibits strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in [industry, e.g., construction, manufacturing, oil & gas].
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Able to travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent is highly desirable.
