About The Position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Monitor and enforce compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. 2. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures. 3. Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing current practices, collecting employee feedback, and suggesting efficiency enhancements. 4. Coordinate and lead HSE training sessions for staff to ensure awareness and understanding of safety protocols. 5. Develop and maintain HSE documentation, including incident reports and compliance forms. 6. Collaborate with management to develop safety plans and policies. 7. Maintain ISO 14001 and 50001 certification 8. Act as a liaison between employees and management on safety-related concerns, fostering a culture of open communication and safety-first mentality. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: (Schooling and/or equivalent experience required) 1. High School diploma or equivalent required. 2. Prior experience in a safety-related role or continuous improvement initiatives is preferred but not mandatory. 3. Certification in HSE or related field is a plus. 4. Health and Safety training OTHER CHARACTERISTICS: (Other job-related characteristics needed to perform this job) 1. Good organizational skills to manage documentation and compliance records efficiently. 2. Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing regulations and workplace environments. 3. Strong leadership qualities to motivate and guide staff towards maintaining safety standards. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY Salary range: 45,000 to 55,000 (This is a non-exempt position)
