About The Position

The Human Services (HS) - Auditing Division office is recruiting for HS Senior Auditors who perform complex financial, operational, and compliance internal audits of departments and programs; perform risk-based internal audits to determine the effectiveness of compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable external regulations; perform fiscal monitoring of program contracts that include detail testing, making recommendations for corrective actions, and communicating results to management. The resulting eligible list will be used to fill current and future vacancies within the Human Services - Auditing Division only.

Requirements

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics OR a bachelor's degree in another field which must include 30 semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework in accounting.
  • Must possess two (2) years of professional-level auditing experience to include internal or external auditing of financial, operational, and compliance processes.
  • A valid California Class C Driver License is required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
  • San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.

  • Auditing Pay Differential - 2.0% above base rate of pay.
  • Certified Public Accountant Stipend - $750 annual CPA stipend for employees who attain and maintain a valid CPA License.
