About The Position

We are seeking a HRIS Specialist to join the Human Resources team in our Minneapolis office. The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000. In order to perform one (1) or more essential functions of this role, a minimum of three (3) days in the office is required.

Requirements

  • Two plus years of Human Resources experience and/or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource management.
  • Experience with HRIS software required; UKG strongly preferred.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
  • Ability to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations or government law.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with a diverse group of employees and to provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
  • Work occasionally requires a high level of mental effort to maintain coordination of multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Updates HRIS and internal checklists with necessary data including new employee records, terminations and changes, benefits and attendance records.
  • Maintains employee personnel files including opening new employee files and filing all materials, including using E-verify.
  • Troubleshoot and work with both employees and UKG support on HRIS issues
  • Update intranet – benefits, notices, forms, directory, payroll calendar
  • Assist with review process
  • Answer questions from employees regarding payroll, PTO, Timecards and benefits
  • Responsible for onboarding process for new hires including new hire orientation, handbooks, employment policies, administrative department and attorney handbook
  • Coordinates semi-monthly payroll processing with Finance, including: Overtime report Payroll issues UKG reports Benefit Reports PANs (Personal Action Notice)
  • Responsible for benefit items: Audit of monthly benefit records Updating benefit carriers Monthly benefit billing payments
  • Parking/transit reimbursements through transportation benefit, adding and terming parking passes for each office.
  • Open enrollment process and set up.
  • Special projects as assigned.
