About The Position

The HRIS Specialist position is the primary Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) point of contact for all administrative tasks related to the Human Resources Management System (Workday). The position provides fundamental functional and technical support for HR and various business groups with resolutions that are timely and accurate, while educating end-users along the way. This position requires customer focus skills in order to act as the advocate for HRIS and help prevent or alleviate pain points.

Requirements

  • High School/GED
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience
  • Lower-intermediate proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel- manipulating lines, moving data, constructing basic formulas).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Effective critical thinking and the ability to research and resolve issues.
  • Ability to effectively learn various systems and processes.
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment and prioritize activities to meet all required deadlines.
  • Positive, professional attitude and adaptive to change.
  • Ability to handle diverse situations and rapidly changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workday HCM, Adaptive Planning, Talent Management, and Workforce Management desired.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and provide initial assistance for functional and technical issues related to Workday.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of relevant HR programs, processes, technology, and policies in order to provide accurate problem diagnosis for low to medium HR issues in a timely and efficient manner, as it relates to Workday.
  • Run reports for HR and various business groups as requested.
  • Maintain organization and position structure, as well as any other foundational items in Workday.
  • Provide regular day to day operational and technical support and assistance to end-users.
  • Document HRIS procedures and best practices.
  • Manage internal shared email box and respond to inquiries as needed.
  • Handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
