Position Overview This role is remote and can be based anywhere in the US. This department oversees the implementation and optimization of all P&C systems, ensuring they meet organizational needs and project goals. As the HRIS Project Manager, you will be a key driver in optimizing and scaling our global P&C technology ecosystem. Reporting to the Senior Director of People Operations, you will collaborate with technical experts, product owners, and functional teammates by owning the project's lifecycle management.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of project management experience specifically within HR Information Systems (Workday experience highly preferred).
  • Certification in a project management field of study is preferred.
  • Proven experience of managing projects from initiation through completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure project success and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Strong ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, risks, and deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of People system platforms and core IT concepts, with the ability to collaborate effectively with P&C, IT, and business stakeholders.
  • Understanding of P&C data structures, system architecture, and reporting analytics.
  • Experience with a project management tool.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Travel required is expected to be up to 10% but may increase over time as the business evolves

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of People systems projects, including system upgrades, implementations, optimizations, and integrations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define project scope, timelines and milestones, risks, dependencies, and success measures for projects.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve issues such as (scope creep, resource constraints, or technical bugs) that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Optimization: Partner with Workday module owners and the broader P&C team to identify workflow inefficiencies and lead automated solutions.
  • Develop the project management function within our team by creating standard procedures and project guidelines that can be used broadly across a variety of projects.
  • Implement best practices of project management through leading activities such as Lessons Learned Sessions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between the people systems team and the internal or external stakeholders, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead internal project team calls.
  • Be able to identify, prioritize, and escalate as needed across multiple workstreams.
  • Change Management: Develop training materials and communication plans to drive user adoption of new system features and processes.
  • Provide status updates, project documentation, and post project knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Establish and maintain People systems project governance frameworks, including documentation standards, decision logs, and risk management processes.
  • Lead road mapping activities and planning for the People systems team.
  • Additional duties assigned by Management.
