Position Summary: The HR Technology Analyst is a member of the centralized, dedicated Workday Team, working together to ensure effective use of Workday by updating, configuring, improving and providing guidance on the system for other HR departments. The Workday HR system enables Ferguson to efficiently handle HR, payroll, talent, recruiting, learning and is the critical system of record for all people data. The Analyst will have at least two specialty function to support. This position reports into the Director of HR Technology. Location: This role is approved to be either Remote within the United States or Hybrid out of Ferguson's Corporate Offices in Newport News, VA, according to company policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years experience in at least three of the following Workday modules: Workday HCM Workday Recruiting/Onboarding Workday Security Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation Workday Payroll (US) Workday Payroll (Canada) Workday Absence and Time Tracking Workday Benefits Workday Performance Management and Talent.
  • Understanding of HR operations and experience with HR data.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with associates and managers.
  • Experience with Canadian compliance and configuration rules
  • Commitment to and passion for excellence and taking care of associates.
  • Ability to collect information to understand challenges and underlying concerns, share ideas and help others calmly and collaboratively.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a focus on communication and information sharing.
  • Problem-solving and learning mentality.

  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Address escalated service tickets related to complex Workday issues, including testing of changes.
  • Identify, validate and test business process and configuration changes related to business changes, issues or process improvements.
  • Root-cause analysis of issues.
  • Testing for Workday releases, configuration changes, data loads.
  • Identify and apply best practices.
  • Handle and troubleshoot data loads.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise for training.
  • Log cases and partner with Workday for problem-solving and learning.
  • Provide advisory services and guidance to management regarding system requirements based on company resources and needs.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.
