About The Position

The HR & Talent Acquisition Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the launch and growth of a new manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for supporting full cycle recruiting for plant roles while also providing hands-on HR support for daily employee operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, startup-style manufacturing environment and enjoys being highly visible on the plant floor. Please note--this position is designed to evolve alongside the growth of the facility. During the startup phase, the primary focus will be high-volume recruiting and staffing to support production ramp-up. As the workforce stabilizes and the plant becomes fully operational, the role will gradually shift toward a more balanced mix of recruiting and broader HR responsibilities. Recruiting will remain an ongoing focus to include hiring for turnover, backfills, and new positions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or a combination of education and experience).
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting the hourly workforce in recruiting and/or HR support.
  • Comfortable working on the plant floor and engaging with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Support full cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing roles and select salaried positions, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Partner with plant leadership to understand workforce needs, production ramp-up timelines, and shift requirements.
  • Coordinate and attend hiring events, job fairs, community outreach, and partnerships with local workforce agencies.
  • Manage applicant tracking system (ATS) activity, hiring documentation, and offer processes.
  • Manage pre-employment processes including background checks, drug screens, preboarding documents, etc.
  • Support onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring positive candidate-to-employee experience.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
  • Assist with employee communications, engagement initiatives, and culture-building activities during plant startup.
  • Oversee employee timekeeping and timecard administration, including adjustments and approvals, and coordination with payroll.
  • Manage employee badge access, issuance, tracking in alignment with site security protocols.
  • Coordinate uniform distribution, inventory, sizing, and replacements to ensure employees are properly equipped.
