Role Purpose: The HR Systems Specialist works within the Total Rewards team as an internal HR systems and data partner to HR, Finance, IT, and other functions across the organization. This role administers, configures, and optimizes HRIS platforms with a focus on data consolidation, reporting, and system accuracy, delivering actionable insights related to compensation, workforce management, performance, and compliance. In close alignment with Finance, the HR Systems Specialist supports variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting while independently managing moderately complex initiatives and collaborating cross-functionally to support evolving business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS platforms with experience in employee data management, HR metrics, and workforce analytics
  • Solid understanding of HR regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and data governance
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • HRIS Administration & Optimization Administer, configure, and maintain the HRIS to support core HR processes in collaboration with HR Team Specialists and cross-functional partners.
  • Lead system enhancements, upgrades, testing, integrations, and ongoing maintenance activities to ensure system reliability and scalability.
  • Define system requirements and translate business needs into effective HRIS solutions, including talent acquisition, compensation, performance management, and workforce planning system alignment.
  • Support the consolidation of HR data across multiple systems to improve data consistency and reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure accurate processing, validation, and maintenance of employee and workforce data in compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver standard and ad hoc HR dashboards, metrics, and reports to support decision-making across HR and Finance.
  • Partner closely with Finance to reconcile workforce, compensation, and headcount data, investigate variances, and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Support workforce analytics initiatives, including compensation analysis, headcount reporting, trend analysis, and insights that inform business strategy.
  • Ensure HRIS data integrity, security, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal data governance standards.
  • Partner with HR leaders and Finance to support audits, compliance reporting, and regulatory data requests.
  • Maintain documentation and best practices related to data governance, system controls, and reporting standards.
  • Serve as a key liaison with external HRIS vendors, including issue resolution, enhancements, upgrades, and ongoing system evaluations.
  • Support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of HRIS platforms and related tools.
  • Collaborate with HR, Total Rewards, Finance, Payroll, IT, and business leaders to align HRIS capabilities with organizational strategy and operational needs.
  • Independently contribute to moderately complex HRIS initiatives and projects, leading assigned work streams and system-related deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and system efficiencies that enhance data accuracy and user experience on a regular cadence.
  • Provide guidance, training, and knowledge sharing to HR team members and internal stakeholders, reinforcing HRIS best practices and reporting standards.
