Ameriprise Financial is seeking an experienced HR Systems Administrator to support and optimize Workday Recruiting. This role will play a critical part in ensuring our recruiting technology operates effectively, scales with business needs, and delivers a seamless experience for candidates, recruiters, and hiring leaders. The ideal candidate brings deep Workday Recruiting expertise, strong system problem‑solving skills, and a passion for improving recruiting processes through technology. What You’ll Do Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Workday Recruiting, including configuration, business process frameworks, security, and integrations. Partner with Recruiting, HR, and Technology teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver system enhancements that improve hiring outcomes. Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex Workday Recruiting issues, ensuring timely and effective support for system users. Lead testing and deployment of new functionality, releases, and updates, ensuring a smooth rollout and minimal disruption. Ensure data accuracy and integrity by conducting audits, identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions. Create and maintain clear system documentation, user guides, and release communications. Develop and deliver training and knowledge sharing for recruiters and HR partners to drive adoption and effective system use. Stay current on Workday Recruiting enhancements, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve the recruiting technology landscape. What You Bring Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience administering enterprise HR systems, with hands-on Workday Recruiting experience strongly preferred. Experience supporting SaaS / cloud-based HR systems. Strong understanding of recruiting and hiring processes. Proven ability to troubleshoot system issues and deliver practical, business-focused solutions. High attention to detail with a strong commitment to data quality and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience configuring and supporting Workday Recruiting business processes. Experience partnering closely with recruiting teams and HR COEs on system enhancements. Demonstrated success supporting HR technology initiatives that improve efficiency and user experience. Base Pay Salary The estimated base salary for this role is $87,400 - $120,200 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
