About The Position

Under the supervision of the HR Director, the incumbent will serve as a primary point of contact for employees and supervisors regarding HR operational workflows, supports recruitment operations, coordinate onboarding processes, maintains HR systems and data integrity, and assists with HR communications and process improvement initiatives. The role requires the ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, ensure consistent application of policy, and mitigate organizational risk while providing responsive and professional service. This temporary assignment is operationally focused and will work closely with HR leadership to ensure continuity of service, compliance integrity, and a supportive employee experience throughout the duration of the assignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in Human Resources, with direct exposure to employee relations and/or leave administration.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and general employment law principles.
  • Experience supporting performance management processes and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive matters.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a higher education environment.
  • Familiarity with case management systems (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, or similar).
  • Prior experience managing FMLA/ADA leave coordination independently.
