About The Position

The Human Resources Specialist will assist with the daily functions of the Human Resources department including hiring, reviewing timesheets, assist with benefits, and helping uphold company policies and practices.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skill and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS and other systems
  • Associate's degree in HR or BA
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate and up-to day human resource files, records, and documentation
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring process. Will refer more complex question to appropriate level HR.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of Human resource files and records
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required docs are collected and filed appropriately
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department
  • May assist with payroll functions including reviewing timesheets, answering employee questions, and fixing processing errors.
  • Conduct or assist with new hire training
  • Assist with planning and execution of special events, meetings, recognition, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
