About The Position

Tucker Door and Trim LLC is seeking a skilled and creative HR Specialist to manage recruitment while leading employee training and development initiatives. This role requires hands-on teaching experience, the ability to design and create engaging training content, and strong computer and graphic design skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable facilitating training for diverse employee groups and translating information into clear, visual, and effective learning materials.

Requirements

  • Teaching, training, or instructional experience, including designing and delivering learning content
  • Demonstrated experience creating training materials and educational content from scratch
  • Strong computer proficiency, including ability to work with graphic design or content creation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe, or similar software)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or skilled trades environments
  • Experience developing onboarding programs or internal training curricula
  • Familiarity with HRIS, LMS, or applicant tracking systems
  • HR or training-related certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, CPTD)

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions
  • Develop job postings, screen applicants, coordinate interviews, and support hiring decisions
  • Partner with managers to understand workforce needs and hiring priorities
  • Maintain accurate recruitment documentation and reporting within HR systems
  • Design, create, and deliver employee training programs for onboarding, safety, compliance, and skill development
  • Facilitate in-person and/or virtual training sessions for employees at various organizational levels
  • Develop original training materials, including presentations, manuals, guides, videos, and visual content
  • Utilize graphic design tools and software to create clear, engaging training resources
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously update content based on feedback and business needs
  • Track training completion, certifications, and compliance requirements
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding training, development, and HR processes
  • Assist with HR projects, audits, and process improvements
  • Ensure HR activities comply with company policies and employment regulations
