About The Position

HR Specialist Consonus Pharmacy is a closed-door long-term care pharmacy specializing in the needs of nursing facilities, assisted living residents, and their caregivers. Since 2004, Consonus Pharmacy has remained family owned and operated, with one primary purpose: To be champions of every journey! This is a Temporary Role for the time period of May 1st - October 31st. This role is fully in-office Monday through Friday. Position Highlights: As the HR Specialist you will be managing all new hire paperwork, onboard new hires, and assist current employees by being a resource for and processing benefit and leave information.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in similar role
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Requires critical and analytical thinking skills, problem-solving, and detailed-oriented.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with quality and accuracy, including the ability to pay attention to details, easily follow directions and learn quickly, and correct mistakes and minimize repeated mistakes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with composure, organization and efficiency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others while also being self-directed and motivated.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an HRIS - ADP or UKG software is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • Prior work experience in the healthcare industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees maintenance of accurate and complete personnel records. Ensures that rules concerning confidentiality and retention are followed.
  • Processes all new hire paperwork and enters new employees into payroll and applicable HR databases.
  • Manages the employee background screening process for internal.
  • Responsible for management of employee files, including but not limited to preparing initial file, tracking license renewals, CPR Certifications, TB tests and other pertinent documentation.
  • Conducts periodic audits of employee files to ensure compliance with company policies/procedures and government regulations.
  • Answers day to day questions for employees regarding benefits.
  • Processes pertinent benefit forms and deductions including medical, dental, flex spending, life insurance, and 401K benefits.
  • Tracks and maintains weekly COBRA reports.
  • Manages workers' compensation claims and leave management for employees.
  • Tracks and maintains monthly life insurance reports.
  • Prepares monthly Pharmacy performance review reports.
