The Human Resources Specialist is the primary point of contact for and provides critical support to candidates, hiring managers, and internal HR and business stakeholders to provide a world-class onboarding experience for newly hired and current employees. This will be a great role for individuals new to Human Resources who are looking for professional growth!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or other business related field preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification in human resources (e.g., aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Familiarity with HR Information Systems, Applicant Tracking Systems, and Candidate Management Systems. Familiarity with iCIMS and ADP Workforce Now preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring a great experience for new employees and a smooth start into their roles.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for hiring managers and newly hired employees.
  • Arrange for new hires to complete pre-employment drug test and DOT physicals, if applicable.
  • Coordinate and deliver new hire orientation presentation.
  • Ensure new hire paperwork is completed including I-9 verification.
  • Provide support to other HR partners for employee benefit programs as well as leaves of absences.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for company random drug testing program.
  • Compiles and maintains personnel records.
  • Updates employee files to document personnel actions.
  • Partners with HR functions to build relationships within our company and contributes to a positive employee experience.
  • Perform other HR-related duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Some travel to visit branches and attend career fairs may be required.
