This HR Specialist role is responsible for executing and scaling core People Operations processes across the U.S., focusing on accuracy, compliance, and speed. It supports day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS data management, and compliance workflows, while partnering closely with Talent Acquisition on hiring coordination and onboarding readiness. The role is key in maintaining data integrity in BambooHR, improving process efficiency, and ensuring audit readiness across areas such as I-9 verification, immigration tracking, and background checks. It also supports workforce reporting, performance cycle coordination, and continuous process improvements to enable faster, more consistent execution. By owning operational execution and reducing manual work and delays, this role helps minimize risk, improve data accuracy, and increase overall team efficiency, enabling leadership to focus on more strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in People Operations, HR, Recruiting Coordination, or a similar operational role
  • Working knowledge of U.S. HR processes and compliance (onboarding documentation, I-9s, background checks), with a strong interest in building deeper expertise
  • Experience using HR systems (e.g., BambooHR or similar) and maintaining accurate employee data
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information accurately
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, follow up consistently, and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with a focus on execution, responsiveness, and accuracy
  • Experience supporting onboarding, scheduling, coordination, or employee lifecycle processes
  • Basic reporting or data tracking experience (Excel or Google Sheets proficiency preferred)
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across teams and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ownership and reliability, with a proactive approach to completing tasks and improving processes over time

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day People Ops execution across onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle changes, ensuring accuracy, speed, and consistency in BambooHR
  • Maintain BambooHR data integrity through ongoing cleanup, audits, and updates to employee records, reporting lines, and documentation, with support from Sr. HRBPs
  • Support compliance workflows, including I9 verification, background checks, immigration tracking, required training, and audit readiness
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support offer generation, hiring coordination, and onboarding readiness, ensuring a smooth and timely hiring process
  • Prepare and deliver recurring and ad hoc workforce reports with high accuracy and timely turnaround, with support from Sr. HRBPs
  • Coordinate performance review cycles in Lattice, ensuring timelines are met, completion rates remain high, and reporting is consistent, with guidance from Sr. HRBPs
  • Support the rollout and execution of employee programs, including engagement surveys and learning & development initiatives
  • Maintain and improve People Ops documentation, SOPs, and workflows to drive consistency and scalability across regions
  • Act as a reliable operational partner to ensure smooth day-to-day execution and reduce delays across teams and time zones
