At SanMar, the work you do makes a difference. Position: HR Specialist. 1st Shift. What's the Short Version? The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for supporting the Human Resources and Distribution team. The HR Specialist performs duties at a professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: benefits, employee relations, recruiting, compliance and payroll. They consult with employees, supervisors and managers related to human resources issues. The position forms partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. What Will You Be Doing? Responsible for employee relations counseling and investigations. Assist with committee facilitation and employee communication. Assist and/or conduct employee development and training. Assist in implementation of human resource policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulatory requirements and reporting. May support employee safety, wellness, and health programs. Assist with benefit enrollments. May conduct new hire onboarding. Responsible for managing time and attendance. May participate in developing HR goals, objectives and processes.
