About The Position

The HR Specialist I is the initial point of contact for HR transactions and questions providing support to deliver a positive team member experience. The role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to execute tier I level people transactions that span the entire HR cycle.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, (Required)
  • 1 year HR or relevant experience (Required)
  • 3-4 years customer service experience (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree, Human Resources or Related Field (Preferred)
  • Experience with HCM Workday and/or HR case management systems (Preferred)
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and responds to HR queries of employees and leaders, utilizing the HR case management system.
  • Provide support for inquiries around HR related processes, policies, and issues.
  • Accurately performs administrative tasks related, but not limited to onboarding, offboarding, job changes, benefits, compensation, etc.
  • Completes Workday transactions as needed.
  • Supports requests for employee data (e.g. alumni paystub request, wage, and separation forms, etc.).
  • Assists with annual HR initiatives (e.g. open enrollment process).
