About The Position

The HR Representative provides human resources support to the organization in multiple aspects of the function. This position will be involved in several areas of Human Resources, including but not limited to employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, recruitment support, HRIS/payroll transactions, and policy/procedural administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1 – 2 years of HR experience desired.
  • Willingness to travel to our facilities in New England.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Strong interest in working with people and providing excellent service.
  • Career focused with a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of holding the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation, entrance/exit interviews, I-9 processing, and other required documentation.
  • Serve as a point of contact with employee questions and concerns; help resolve workplace issues in partnership with HR leadership.
  • Provide administrative support for employee relations, including initial investigation, documentation, and escalation (if applicable).
  • Communicate policy updates and monitor compliance with procedures.
  • Prepare and communicate personnel action forms for employee life cycle transactions within the HRIS system (new hires, pay rate changes, status changes, etc.).
  • Act as first-line support for employees on HRIS and payroll questions, including system navigation, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Support basic benefits administration, including answering employee questions and escalating if further support is needed.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with employment laws and company policies, including I-9s, required postings, and more.
  • Assist with various HR reporting including headcount, turnover, and other key metrics to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate training session logistics for employees and managers.
  • Help with projects including but not limited to: benefits open enrollment, recruiting events/career fairs, HR process improvements, and company-wide events.
  • Support employee communication around engagement and recognition initiatives.
