About The Position

This position ensures Goodwill’s HR systems, workforce data, and team member processes operate strategically, accurately, and proactively, to support leadership decision-making and organizational performance. The role exercises independent judgment in managing HR systems, automated and/or AI-enabled analytics, and workforce reporting to provide leaders with reliable insight into areas such as staffing, productivity, turnover, and compliance. Collaboratively supports departments with Human Resources performance management and processes, practices and team member management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive Human Resources experience with responsibility spanning both core HR functions (performance management support, employee relations assistance, compliance, and HR administration) and workforce systems, data, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, with experience supporting compliant HR practices, documentation, and audits.
  • Proven experience exercising independent judgment and discretion in addressing HR issues, interpreting workforce data, and supporting management decision-making.
  • Experience supporting leaders in managing team members through performance processes, documentation, and employee-related matters, while applying consistent HR practices.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing an HR Information System (HRIS) to manage employee data, workflows, reporting, and HR processes.
  • Experience analyzing workforce and HR-related data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and potential risk areas related to staffing, productivity, turnover, performance, and compliance.
  • Experience supporting performance management cycles, including evaluation tracking, documentation, reporting, and data validation.
  • Experience supporting unemployment administration, including claim processing, documentation, deadline management, and reporting.
  • Ability to manage and maintain confidential employee records and sensitive information, both online and paper, in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, balanced with sound HR judgment and practical application.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences, including leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy, consistency, and documentation standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s structure, roles, policies, compensation practices, and HR administrative processes.
  • High School/GED completion

Responsibilities

  • Manages the integrity, structure, and ongoing operation of HR systems, workforce data, and reporting tools to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance and maintains HR data governance practices, including data accuracy and documentation standards.
  • Integrates the Human Resources Information System, learning management systems, and AI-enabled tools and analytics to support workforce planning, performance management, and leadership decision-making.
  • Analyzes workforce data and trends related to staffing, productivity, turnover, training effectiveness, and compliance risk and translates findings into actionable insights for management.
  • Performs Human Resources audits for Goodwill utilizing automation and AI tools.
  • Creates and analyzes quarterly and annual HR statistics.
  • Develops and produces standard and ad hoc workforce reports, dashboards, and metrics for leadership, auditors, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors workforce-related compliance indicators and flags trends or risks requiring management attention.
  • Assists with advising and supporting leaders consultatively in managing team member performance, documentation, and employee-related matters using data-informed guidance.
  • Performs unemployment administration processes, documentation, and reporting.
  • Processes claims, monitors claim status, meets deadlines and outcomes ensuring compliance with state requirements.
  • Maintains performance processes through managing monthly evaluation cycles and issuing notifications, tracking completions, approvals and related documentation in HRIS.
  • Collaborates on team member relations issues including investigations, resolution and escalation support when needed.
  • Maintains employee relations documentation in the HRIS.
  • Administers the monthly team member survey process including distribution and participant tracking.
  • Provides analytical reporting identifying trends, inconsistencies and potential risk areas in all areas of responsibility or as directed.
