About The Position

HR PAYROLL MEDICAL RECORDS SPECIALIST JOB PURPOSE: To assist with administrative functions of the office.

Requirements

  • Two yeas of college or business school and/or equivalent experience and training.
  • One year minimum experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reporting daily census changes to billing department and maintaining monthly census log.
  • Facilitate proper and timely billing by maintaining lines of communication with billing department.
  • Responsible for weekly submission of accounts payable information and for maintaining system to ensure invoices are submitted and paid.
  • Clinical record management.
  • Perform receptionist duties for the office.
  • Order supplies as directed by Administrator.
  • Provide secretarial support to the Administrator and office staff as needed.
  • Maintain personnel files and ensure items are updated monthly.
  • Track signed physician orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Administrator.
  • Ability to communicate effective in written and oral form.
  • Ability to establish rapport and work effectively with a variety of people.
  • Must be well organized with ability to clearly set priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Possess knowledge of computer software, including proficiency in word-processing.
  • Participate in center/agency surveys (Licensure/JCAHO) and any subsequently required reports.
  • Attend and participate in continuing education programs to keep abreast of changes in your field as well as to maintain current license/certification as required.
  • Attend and participate in mandatory in-services.
  • Honor patients/residents' rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints.
  • Comply with corporate compliance program.
  • report job-related functions/tasks that involve occupational hazards including exposure to blood and bodily fluids and others as necessary.
  • Follow established safety regulations, to include fire protection and prevention, smoking regulations, infections control, etc.
  • Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor.
