About The Position

Detail-oriented and great with numbers? Join Kamaʻāina Kids as an HR Payroll Generalist and help keep our HR and payroll systems running smoothly for employees across Hawaiʻi. Kamaʻāina Kids—Hawaiʻi’s largest locally owned and operated childcare provider—is looking for a detail-oriented HR Payroll Generalist to join our Corporate HR team in Kailua. In this role, you’ll help keep our HR and payroll operations running smoothly for employees across more than 90 locations statewide. If you enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, and helping people navigate payroll and HR processes, this could be a great fit. You’ll partner closely with our VP of Human Resources to support payroll-related functions, benefits deductions, timekeeping systems, and new hire onboarding. While we utilize a professional payroll provider for full payroll processing, this role plays a key part in ensuring accurate time entry, PTO calculations, benefits deductions, and HR system integrity. If you enjoy structure, accuracy, and working with people across diverse personalities — we’d love to meet you. The HR Payroll Generalist supports payroll preparation, time & attendance systems, benefits-related deductions, and onboarding documentation. This operational HR role requires strong attention to detail and experience managing payroll adjustments, benefits entries, and employee records while maintaining compliance with company policies and employment regulations. Behind every accurate PTO entry and benefit deduction is employee trust. Behind every compliant onboarding file is organizational protection. This role helps ensure that the employees serving our communities have the support they need to do their best work every day. If you’re ready to bring accuracy, organization, and people-focused professionalism to a mission-driven organization, we’d love to hear from you.
