We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR/Payroll Coordinator to join our team in Milton, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate looking to launch a career in Human Resources and Payroll Operations. This role provides hands-on experience in payroll compliance, HR coordination, employee engagement, and workforce support in a growing organization.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information with professionalism
  • No payroll experience is required - Cannon is committed to training the right candidate with the drive to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with certified payroll processing and compliance documentation
  • Serve as backup support for payroll processing as needed
  • Calculate and track fringe benefits
  • Support payroll-related billing, including equipment entries
  • Learn and work within compliance systems such as EMARS, LCP Tracker, and other HR/payroll platforms
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee documentation, including:
  • Driver's licenses
  • Certifications
  • Medical DOT cards
  • Support driver qualification files and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate scheduling for DOT physical exams and other required appointments
  • Schedule interviews and assist with hiring logistics
  • Support onboarding preparation and employee communication
  • Coordinate employee badging/access requirements for job sites (JBLM, Comcast, etc.)
  • Support employee engagement initiatives that strengthen teamwork and culture
  • Assist with quarterly company newsletters and internal communications
  • Prepare monthly HR statistics and workforce reports
  • Coordinate quarterly random drug testing programs
