About The Position

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and accountable Senior HR Operations & Benefits Specialist to support our U.S. organization. This role has two primary scopes: 1. U.S.-Wide Scope – Own and administer 401(k), health & welfare benefits, and statutory leave and special employment case management across all U.S. entities. 2. Region Office Scope – Manage employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding, and employee support) for the U.S. region office population.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in U.S. HR Operations and Benefits Administration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with 401(k) administration required.
  • Experience working with ADP payroll systems and carrier EDI feeds preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of U.S. employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, and ACA.
  • Experience managing benefits audits strongly preferred.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical/reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through capability.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR owner for all U.S. benefits programs, including 401(k), medical, dental, vision, life, Short-Term Disability (STD), and Long-Term Disability (LTD).
  • Act as the main liaison with 401k/ benefits brokers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
  • Ensure accurate and timely benefits enrollment (including annual open enrollment), eligibility updates, life event changes, and terminations.
  • Oversee 401(k) administration, compliance testing, and coordinate the annual 401(k) audit.
  • Manage and reconcile ADP payroll data and carrier EDI feeds to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor compliance with ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, and other applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Manage and oversee special employment cases across the entire U.S. employee population, including but not limited to: Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Short-Term Disability (STD) Long-Term Disability (LTD) ADA accommodations State-specific leave programs
  • Partner with plant HR & external leave administrators, payroll, legal counsel, and business leaders to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
  • Identify and mitigate compliance risks related to leave and disability programs.
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes for regional office employees.
  • Ensure I-9 compliance and proper employment documentation via ADP on-boarding process.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and support smooth integration.
  • Monitor leave tracking, eligibility determinations, and return-to-work coordination.
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure employee data accuracy (changes/additions).
