About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting the recruiting and benefits functions at Eastern. This position will work as an integral part of the Human Resources team to model and foster Eastern’s employee-centric culture emphasizing quality, high performance, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in HR Operations or similar HR role.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions, and processes, and experience with database tools. ADP Workforce Now experience a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including demonstrable experience with Excel.
  • Understanding of employment laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two years’ experience with Workers’ Compensation and OSHA reporting preferred.
  • Experience navigating electronic signature and document management platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain recruiting platforms and track employment data accurately, which includes job requisitions, applicant tracking, and document management.
  • Facilitate all candidate transactions in the electronic signature and document management platforms.
  • Prepare Offer Letters that align with Eastern’s practices and remain compliant with local and federal policy and regulation.
  • Act as primary HR respondent for email communications from Eastern managers regarding job requisitions through the onboarding process.
  • Develop and maintain superior understanding of Eastern’s HRIS platform and act as liaison to provider in troubleshooting and resolving claims.
  • Maintain Eastern’s relationship with returning seasonal employees through end-of-season and off-season communication and administratively facilitate their return.
  • Support Senior Recruiter in various recruiting functions including creating Job Flashes, maintaining the Recruiting Tracker, entering Candidate Notes, resolving open candidates with hiring managers, and analyzing data for recordkeeping and growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Benefits Manager to complete Workers’ Compensation and OSHA reporting.
  • Collaborate with Benefits Manager in various benefits functions including invoice reconciliations and open enrollment preparations.
  • Collaborate with Senior Recruiter and Human Resource Administrator to maintain a rotating variety of branded inventory for recruiting events.
  • Act as backup presenter for all segments of new employee orientations.
  • Review processes and recommend changes to ensure maximum utilization of resources.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel, to develop raw data into presentable material based on the needs of various projects.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and application of human resources practices and labor regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of companywide job functions and an understanding of Eastern's organizational structure.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal anti-discrimination and employment laws and regulations.
  • Facilitate reimbursements for Eastern’s quarterly wellness program.
  • Act as backup for Human Resources Administrator functions.
  • Be receptive to and successfully complete other duties as assigned.
