About The Position

HR Manager – Shaping Work, Elevating People Location: North Houston (Hybrid) Some HR roles are about policies. This one is about people. We’re looking for an HR Manager who can lead with heart, sharpen systems, and elevate the employee experience while keeping the workplace engaging, inclusive, and fun. You’ll oversee a small but mighty team of five, shaping culture, coaching leaders, and ensuring our people thrive as the company continues its strategic growth. We’re a manufacturing and oil & gas services company with a focus on strong culture, community impact, and employee development. This role offers the chance to make a tangible difference in our workplace, while leading benefits, employee relations, recruitment, retention, training, payroll, total rewards, and generalist HR initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experienced HR professional with 5+ years leading HR initiatives, preferably in manufacturing or oil & gas services.
  • Strong generalist skills across benefits, ER, payroll, compensation, talent development, and HRIS.
  • HRIS experience required; BambooHR preferred.
  • Skilled at leading and developing teams, coaching leaders, and fostering engagement.
  • Approachable, solution-oriented, and enjoys creating a positive workplace experience.
  • Passionate about culture, employee development, and building programs that make work better.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of five HR professionals, balancing guidance, support, and accountability.
  • Manage the full spectrum of HR: benefits, employee relations, recruitment, retention, compensation, payroll, and training/development.
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen culture, employee engagement, and workplace experience.
  • Oversee HRIS processes and systems (BambooHR preferred) to streamline workflows and maintain data integrity.
  • Support workers’ compensation, safety/HSE programs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Design programs that reflect our values—giving back to the community and celebrating employees.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders and employees alike.
