About The Position

Position Summary The HR Manager leads a team that aligns Human Resources operations to ensure consistent support for all employees across the organization: including headquarters, showroom/sales locations, and technical service sites in Ohio and California. The HR Manager ensures HR operates as a scalable system, not a reactive service. They build structure around the “HR whirlwind,” ensuring operational clarity while enabling the HR leadership to focus on strategic planning, leadership development, and organizational design.   • 5+ years of progressive HR experience and leading a team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, guide, and align the HR team.
  • Conduct structured HR team meetings to establish priorities, track commitments, and ensure clarity.
  • Promote accountability, documentation, professionalism, and strong communication.
  • Ensure consistent HR support for showroom/sales locations, enhanced services in Ohio, and the California calibration/repair lab.
  • Oversee core HR functions: employee relations, leave administration, compensation support, performance management, benefits support, policy guidance, recruiting workflows, and onboarding processes.
  • Develop and update policies, procedures, and tools that make HR processes clear and repeatable.
  • Serve as a key HR resource for 50+ managers and supervisors, guiding them through performance expectations, documentation, and policy application.
  • Facilitate consistent handling of corrective actions and investigations; ensure documentation is legally defensible and scalable.
  • Guide managers to lead properly
  • Track trends (turnover, performance, retention, staffing gaps).
  • Suggest compensation and headcount plans
  • Make benefit renewal recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance and accurate documentation across the team.
  • Map current HR processes and identify improvements for clarity, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Use data to inform decisions and present actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Oversee coordination of temporary housing for Japanese expatriates relocating to and from the U.S.
  • Serve as Chief Privacy Officer for the company.
  • Support travel program administration in partnership with designated internal stakeholders.
