The North America Valmet People & Culture team is looking for an energetic and driven professional who has a progressive career in HR and is ready to take their next step in a key People & Culture (HR) role. This role will partner with key stakeholders regionally and globally to coordinate deployment of HR services leveraging the various global COEs and regional operational model. This role will be key in supporting an acquisition, through the integration of talent, aligning cultures and leading change management. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Labor Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered. Master’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience in a global organization. Experience with M&A is required, leading change management, harmonizing policies and practices, etc. Proficient in HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office Suite (Solid/advance Excel and Power Point required). Knowledge of project management tools. Knowledge of North America (US and Canada) labor laws, employment regulations, and HR compliance Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; able to coach and create positive change. Ability to manage complexity, challenge status quo and drive continuous improvement. Strong analytical and execution skills. Job Responsibilities This role will play a key role in delivering exceptional HR services, support, and consultation to assigned client groups, as well as working on the integration of a newly acquired team in Houston, Texas. You will be key in supporting the integration and harmonization of cultures, as well as growth of the organization through interventions on culture/engagement, talent management, organizational development, change management and HR best practices. Below are more detailed responsibilities: Talent Management Be a trusted partner to senior leaders and respective organizations to drive people topics including retention, engagement, and employee development. Collaborate with business leaders to support and orchestrate execution of strategies on talent needs (talent acquisition, retention, and development) collaborating with key stakeholders globally, including Talent Management COE. Coach and advise leaders on leadership (i.e., give critical feedback), performance management, team development, and people-related decisions. Monitor local HR trends and benchmarks. Provide insights and recommendations on rewards, recruitment, and retention strategies. Employee Relations & Compliance Manage employee relations matters such as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and employment terminations, ensuring fairness, compliance, and risk mitigation. Ensure positive employee relations during the integration of the newly acquired team. Collaborate internally to deploy HR services to client groups leveraging various COEs as applicable. Partner with other HR teams to continuously enhance HR service delivery and operational excellence, ensuring positive and consistent employee experience throughout the lifecycle. HR Consultation & Data Analytics Stay current on HR trends, legislation, and best practices to ensure compliance and competitiveness Manage data and leverage HR analytics to identify trends and risks for client groups, and make data-driven recommendations for process improvements and decision-making Additional information If this opportunity sounds like a fit for you please send your application via Valmet career page. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Labor Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
