About The Position

The HR Manager will serve as the sole HR professional for Window World of Baton Rouge, responsible for building and maintaining the company's human resources infrastructure across all functions. This individual will partner directly with executive leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals, while providing hands-on support in recruitment, compliance, employee relations, and performance management. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in HR fundamentals, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a generalist or management capacity
  • Working knowledge of federal and Louisiana state employment law
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations, recruiting, and compliance functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage professionally at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a standalone HR professional or HR department of one

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for all departments, including sales, operations, and administrative roles
  • Develop and post job descriptions, screen applicants, coordinate interviews, and extend offers
  • Build and maintain relationships with staffing agencies, trade schools, and community partners
  • Administer a structured onboarding program to ensure new hires are integrated efficiently and effectively
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution
  • Foster a positive, professional work environment consistent with company values and culture
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints or policy violations and recommend appropriate action
  • Advise managers and leadership on employee relations matters and best practices
  • Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws including FLSA, ADA, FMLA, and EEO regulations
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate the employee handbook and all HR-related policies
  • Manage documentation and recordkeeping in accordance with legal requirements
  • Partner with legal counsel as needed on employment matters
  • Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and PTO policies
  • Serve as the primary liaison between employees and benefit providers
  • Support compensation analysis, benchmarking, and salary structure reviews
  • Manage open enrollment processes and respond to employee benefits inquiries
  • Coordinate the performance review process including scheduling, documentation, and manager guidance
  • Identify training and development needs and coordinate or deliver relevant programs
  • Support leadership in creating performance improvement plans (PIPs) when necessary
  • Track and report on key workforce metrics including retention, turnover, and headcount
  • Collaborate with accounting on payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in hours, deductions, and changes
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS platform
  • Generate workforce reports and HR analytics for executive review
