Requirements

  • At least 3 years of HR experience required, with benefits administration experience preferred; high school diploma required.
  • High Integrity: Exercises discretion, sound judgment, and confidentiality while working respectfully within the values and practices of the Plain Community.
  • Clear Communicator: Communicates directly and thoughtfully, builds trust across the organization, and works collaboratively with leaders and teams.
  • Organized & Dependable: Manages details accurately, follows through consistently, and keeps work moving across competing priorities.
  • Growth-minded & Adaptable: Anticipates needs, stays curious, and remains steady and solutions-oriented as priorities shift.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable with moderate computer use, including Google Suite, Zoom, and Slack; QuickBooks experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own talent development by partnering with leaders on career planning, succession, and future talent needs.
  • Lead recruiting and hiring from strategy and sourcing through interviews and hiring decisions.
  • Manage onboarding to ensure new team members are trained, aligned, and set up for success.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits, including wage structures, offers, reviews, and programs.
  • Maintain the company's structure and documentation, including organizational charts, job roles, titles, and employee records.
  • Manage HR policies, the employee handbook, and ensure compliance with legal requirements across all employment practices.
  • Provide oversight and backup support for the receptionist function as needed.
